The national cocktail of Peru is the Pisco Sour, and why not? Its refreshing, delicious and it gets you there! We tried these all over Peru, sampling them at the famous La Mar and were hooked…
Here’s how to make one at home!
- 1 Egg White
- 2.5 to 3 oz Pisco Capel
- Juice of 1 Lime
- 1 oz Simple Syrup
- Bitters 2-3 dashes
- Martini glasses
- Ice
Fill your martini glasses with ice to chill before you begin.
In a tumbler, mix the pisco, simple syrup, lime juice, egg and ice before you shake vigorously for at least 45 seconds, no less.
Dump out the ice from the martini glass and pour the strained cocktail into the glass.
Make 3 dashes on top of the foam with the bitters and serve immediately.
Salute!
