The Red City has an amazing ancient medina full of snake charmers, fortune tellers, con artists and street vendors all ready for you and your tourist dollars. Long ago this vibrant square was used for public beheadings!  Nowadays, fresh fruit stands, street vendors and tasty juice stalls line the squares by day.

By night food stalls pop up after six and serve all types of fresh mixed grills competing with hollering and pleading, these vendors will do anything for your business, so have a look around before you commit.  Make sure that you get only what you ask for, these vendors are often predatory on tourists and overcharge for anything they can serve your table.
